Tomintoul

Extending the award-winning Tomintoul Speyside Glenlivet range was the result of much painstaking work by Master Distiller Robert Fleming and his dedicated team.

Up until the start of 2008 Tomintoul was only available in 10, 16 and 27 Years Old expressions. Three new expressions were launched in 2008.

First, there was “Peaty Tang”, distilled in the traditional manner but, unusually for the Speyside Glenlivet region, crafted using peated malted barley to impart a distinctive smoky and heathery flavour. In contrast, the 12 years old Sherry Cask Finish was distilled in the autumn of 1995 and transferred into Oloroso Sherry butts for the last twenty months of maturation. The result is a creamy, elegant single malt with hints of Sherry sweetness.

The 1976 Vintage is a distillation from an exceptional year. Collected from hand-picked casks over 30 years later, it is a jewel amongst single malts. Finally, Tomintoul 14 years old, unchillfiltered at 46% vol and with no added colouring together with Tomintoul 33 Years old, the oldest release in the gamut, have been added to the brand range to make the 2009 line up seven expressions in total .
